CIVIL WAR RE-ENACTMENT MARCH 2004

This year, there will be a Commemorative 10th Anniversary Lapel Pin put out as a Souvenir of the 10th edition of the Re-enactment. You will most certainly want to have one of these, and if the event is to continue, I am sure there will be more to come, so you can start building your collecting of these beautiful pins. Here is a sample of what this years pin will look like.

A few Scenes from the battles between the Damned Yankee's and the Rebs

Each year in March, there is a reenactment of the Civil War in Bridgeport. People come from far and near, to either participate or just watch. In 2002 there were over 3,000 people at the two day event, not counting the actors. There is the Northern Yankees, and the Southern Rebels. The women dress in the attire of that era.  Here are a few pictures. If you are a Civil War buff, Bridgeport holds many surprises for you.

Two Southern Gentleman.... on the left the talker, and the right un-opinionated quiet Quaker.

The Action begins.... Cannon fire echoes from the open field, along with rifle shots and the screams from the Johnny Rebs.
